Abstract

In May 2022, I returned from the University of Milan to Ukraine after a threeweek
business trip. I crossed the Romanian-Ukrainian border near the city of
Suceava on foot. This is what Ukrainian women would do during the 2022 war. A
five-minute walk across the border is the shortest and easiest way. It seems a farce;
but, unfortunately, it is the truth.
